Last year, the whole world was stuck when the pandemic situation arises. It has even a huge impact on World Superpower countries. It started to spread from one country to the whole world. Soon the whole world was in this virus grip. This virus even affects the education system of the whole world badly. Not only education but every industry got affected by this virus. People tried to stay at home and left public places whenever it was possible as this virus was found in public places too. So, how this virus started, and where did it come from? We’ll discuss it in this article.

What is Coronavirus?

Coronavirus is an infection caused by a large group of viruses in which a person gets illness ranging from common flu to severe respiratory problems even people find it difficult to breathe. In COVID-19, “CO” stands for ‘corona’, “VI” stands for ‘virus’ and “D” for ‘disease. COVID-19 virus is a new virus that is from the same family of viruses as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and some types of common flu. It mostly gets spread through person-to-person contact so It’s advisable to stay away from the patient.

Symptoms:

People suffering from Coronavirus have the following symptoms:

  • fever
  • Dry Cough
  • Flu
  • Tiredness
  • Body pain
  • sore throat
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Fatigue
  • Diarrhea
  • chest pain
  • conjunctivitis and
  • Difficulty in breathing.

However, these are not all possible symptoms. Some people didn’t feel any signs of Coronavirus and some get cured by just doing isolation. If you have any of the above symptoms, contact your medical practitioner immediately. People who are suffering from mild symptoms should isolate themselves for 14 days. Although its symptoms started to appear from the first two days and can remain up to two weeks. If a person has severe symptoms like shortness of breath or difficulty in breathing, they should admit themselves to a hospital ASAP.

Origins of Covid-19:

Its first case was found in Wuhan, the city of China in December 2019, and some were reported in Early 2020, soon then this outbreak spread in the whole world except continent Antarctica. It began to spread to the animals first then transmit to the humans. Bats and snakes were the possible sources pointed by scientists.

Treatment:

WHO describes some measures to adopt for its prevention as there is no specific treatment for Coronavirus. One must isolate themselves or follow these precautions to avoid it or get cured. Following are some measures for safety from COVID-19:

  • wear the mask,
  • Keep distance yourself from others at least six feet,
  • wash your hands with hand sanitizer (alcohol-based) for at least 20 seconds.
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces.
  • Avoid touching your face and mouth with dirty hands.

Number of People got infected by COVID-19:

According to worldometers, the Total number of cases of the coronavirus, around the globe, is 186,854,286 and Deaths are 4,035,450 whereas Recovered cases are 170,906,875. These figures are live and from all over the world. However, if you want to check by country, you can visit worldometers for country-wise cases updates. The country which is on the top for the highest number of Coronavirus cases is the US where approximately millions of people have been dead. India is on the second number with 23,000,000 numbers of cases while Brazil is on the 3rd number with 15,200,000 affected people.

How does it spread:

It mostly spread from person to person contact. For example, when a Coronavirus affected patient sneeze or cough, virus in its droplet get spread in the air and people get an infection. Mostly this virus enters into the body through the nose and mouth so one must cover oneself with a mask to avoid infection. Crowded places are the hub for this virus and are not recommended to stay there without any safety measures.

Disadvantages of Coronavirus:

The coronavirus pandemic has compelled many countries to imposed lockdown policies which can reduce the spreading of the infection especially from China and other countries where its cases were in high numbers. Due to this, airlines got banned from one country to another which badly affect people’s jobs. People had to keep themselves at home even children were in house confinement.

From Schools, colleges to airlines every single industry was closed as a result of this pandemic. People lost their stable jobs. All public places where it can be spread like restaurants, marriages halls, cinemas, live concerts, farmhouses got closed and people were in the house for their safety or their loved ones.

After 1930, the world suffered a severe recession of history where about 114 million people of the world population lost their jobs over 2020. Industries most impacted by COVID-19 were Airlines on the topmost then Tourists, Oil and Gas, Casino and Gaming, Restaurants and Home furnishing. Industries less impacted are Healthcare, Insurance, Property, Industrial REITs.

Opportunities we get from COVID-19 Pandemic:

When industries were shut, its wastage also stopped flowing in the sea which results in clean and pure water available for humans and sea animals.

Due to the Pandemic situation, when everything got shut, people had a lot of spare time to talk with their family members, relatives, and so on. It increased people’s love for each other.

Parents started to self-taught their kids as they were afraid to send their children to a tuition center. Young Girls and boys who were very obsessed with their grooming either try to pamper themselves or let themselves be in their natural look.

People started to think that they can also do their house chores like dusting, cleaning the floor, make dishes, etc. It is not a shameful thing to do their work themselves as we all are equal.

People started to move freelancing sites to offer their services related to their field which increased revenue for the country. The digital marketing industry was in boom as everyone tried to sell something on the Internet for their bread and butter.

Conclusion:

COVID-19 period was the most difficult period in world history however it brought some positive changes to the world. It's up to us how we can see this change as a blessing or a curse.
